Have you been in a car accident recently?
- Are you experiencing physical symptoms as a result of the accident? Such as whiplash, low back pain or a head injury?
- Are you experiencing strange symptoms, like increased anxiety, irritation, trouble concentrating or problems sleeping?
- Or, do you still have unresolved symptoms from old accidents that just won’t go away?
If your answer is yes to any of those questions, I can help you to relieve any pain in your body and release trauma from your nervous system so you can move on with your life.
Working with the results of a car accident has been a specialty and priority in my practice for many years.
I use a unique combination of skills to effectively address the various components of car accident injuries and trauma.
For most people who have been in a car accident there are two main types of symptoms resulting from the accident:
1. Physical injury, like whiplash, herniated discs in upper or lower spine, broken bones, head trauma etc.
Common sypmptoms: neck pain, shoulder pain, nerve symptoms down arms, low back pain, nerve symptoms down legs, hip pain, pelvic pain, head injury symptoms etc.
2. Traumatic impact on the nervous system
Common symptoms: anxiety while driving or as a passenger, general anxiety or anger, hyper-vigilance, insomnia, general tension and un-ease, inability to concentrate, increased emotionality etc.
I address the physical symptoms through Ortho-Bionomy , Craniosacral Therapy, sometimes with the support of Massage Therapy. Ortho-Bionomy helps the body release any physical patterns and injury from the accident by helping the nervous system re-organize the structure of the body. Read more under Ortho-Bionomy. For head injuries Craniosacral Therapy is highly effective.
I work with the traumatic impact through body centered trauma therapy. Trauma therapy helps the nervous system discharge the excessive fight&flight energy and relieve any PTSD type symptoms. Read more under Body centered trauma therapy.
It is crucial to address both of those layers. The traumatic impact on the nervous system elicits the fight&flight response in the body, which creates the PTSD type symptoms. In addition it also plays a big role in the physical injuries. The fight&flight state creates constant readiness for action and a protective response in the body and leads to high tension and inability to release the areas of injury.
I offer full billing services for injuries resulting from a car accident:
Med-pay : The portion of your car-insurance that pays for your bodily injury. In Colorado it is automatically included in your insurance policy unless you have opted out of it. The usual limit is $5000 unless you have opted for a higher limit. Massage Therapy and other bodywork are covered. A prescription from your doctor or chiropractor is helpful.
Third party billing: When you don’t have med-pay or your limit has been reached, I can bill the insurance of the other driver and you pay out of pocket at the time of service and then get reimbursed once your case is settled. In some instances I also work on a lien basis.
